Uploading audio to YouTube
I have a few Carnatic albums from the '80s and '90s that I'd love to share with other rasikas on YouTube. Does anyone know if there are copyright or licensing issues to be aware of? Thank you.

If there is no monetary benefit derived and used for personal use and research, there is no copy right violation. But it should be acknowledged as to the owner. So, you can go ahead and do it.

It's a minefield. There are copyrights, and performers' rights. Even if a song is not copyright, there will be a right in the performance, probably owned by the music company. Legal and practical niceties (or nasties!) and you cannot rely on the record companies to get it right, but you can rely on youtube to believe them anyway.
Acknowledging the record company, and that you have no claims or rights, might be a good start.
