how is it that the best of semi-classical film songs were all by the real Nightingale of India ---of the period from 1948 to 1964 ?
There are some songs by her which nobody else can sing like her.
She brought out the best from her music directors and all of them were trained in Hindusthani Classical music, except perhaps Shankar JAIKISHAN who nevertheless gave us many gems in pure HM.
