1. Shankaram abhirami- manohari - MD-rupaka- swarams
2. Alapanai Reethigowlai- badalikadeera- Tyagaraja- Aadi 2 kalai - charana the use of the word of pankaja is very nice by Sadguru- swarams @ pallavi - first speed swarams and korvai v nice - he sang only first speed swarams - mridangam played nicely for the sangatis in this kruthi (very few sangatis in this kruthi I observed)
3 brova bhaarama - bahudari- Tyagaraja- desaadi- felt he could have chosen another kruthi of another composer - was sung well -plenty of fast speed kruhtis are available in so many talams
4. Jujaavanthi - Chetasri - MD- rupakam 2 kalai - he sung well this one - kruthi on Lord Rajagopala Swamy of Mannargudi -charanam is like a small visit to botanical gardens- so many flowers and leaves used to describe Lord Krishna
5. Todi alapanai - hoping it will be Syama Sasthri and mishra chapu combo - good alapanai - voice sounded like a lot of KVNish sangatis especially in the keezh sthaayi phrases - graha bhedam - kalyani ragam came - but only lightly - sounded like kalyani - voice flowed v nicely to create intensity in the second half of Thodi alapanai - violin alapanai also equally well done with both depth and intensity - sangatis produced by both in the alapanai were v impressive
As guessed it was ninne Nammi Nannu - Todi - Syama Sastri - Niraval was attempted in two speeds and was good
6. Devaki nandana- I think Ragamalika -mand, kamas- tuned by Sri R K Sriramkumar ??
Mridangam artiste supported well and violin was really good !
Regarding vocalist -is sincere- and has v good gnanam - can work more on voice - few times when he stopped and re-starts again there is a visible shake in the voice - which is not there when singing continuously- his voice sounds like MKT in medium and upper octaves and KVn in lower octaves
Overall a nice Kutcheri with good support by accompanying artistes
