Thank you Mr. Lakshman.

But what does it literally mean "One with a kasturi-tilaka that is like the blemish on the moon-like face"

Can somebody be more specific on this line please.

thank you.

vadana SaSi kaLankita mrgamada tilakE - One with a kasturi-tilaka that is like the blemish on the moon-like face

The goddess is an endless source of inspiration for the poet who is describing her beauty.

Here he says,
#1 Her face is like the moon!
#2She is wearing Kasturi tilaka. This is a most fragrant, in fact intoxicating material, used to mark a tilaka on her forehead

#3 Now the poet thinks, "Oh that tilaka or forehead mark resembles the marks on the moon, called kalas, considered again something that adds to the beauty of the full moon!

Something like : Her face is like the moon, but unlike the moon it is perfect and blemishless. So the tilaka which is made of dark-coloured Kasturi (musk), applied on Her forehead, plays the role of the blemish, to make the simile more appropriate.

This epithet is just a paraphrasing of the name in Lalita Sahasranama "mukha chandra kalankAbha mRganAbhi visheShakA". One can look up Lalita Sahasranama commentaties to get more insights.
