Dr.Sundar presented a thematic concert on Dikshidhar kritis accompanied by Mullaivasal Chandramouli& Vellore Ramabhadran.vocal support by his ever alert& ardent disciple Ms.Keerthana.

Vathapi ganapathim-Hamsadhwani-Tiruvarur.
Manasa guruguha-Ananda Bhairavi-Tirutani.
Somasundareshwaram-Suddha vasantha-Madurai.
Hiranmayim Lakshmim- Lalitha-swetha dweepam(place reference given in SKN.TKG's .book).
Adipuriswaram-Arabi-Tiruvootiyur,
Ananda Natana Prakasam-Kedaram-Chidambaram.
sarasijanabha sodari-Nagagandhari?-no place- just a filler for improving the slow tempo in the concert I think.
Ramanatham bhajegam-Pantuvarali-Rameshwaram.
Sri.kanthimadim-Hemavathi-Thirunelveli.
I had to leave after that.

Good effort unmindful of moderate attendance. Those who came to listen stayed almost till the end.
DKJ stamp was there throughout.esp.Sangeetha vahhya vinodhini in Hiranmayim. & in kedaram kriti(I was also reminded of Balaji Sankar.)
Many more to come.

balusatya,
I wanted to come to this concert, instead went somewhere else. I have not heard this musician yet, but I am told he brings a lot of sAhithyam weight of DKJ padantharA, I am sure MD compositions must have been a good testimony to that .

BTW any neravals and swaras you recollect , if yes can you post it.

sangeetha vadya vinodhini-Lalitha. Although kumara guruguha is a traditional neraval spot in Ramanatham it was not attempted may be due to the theme of the concert was to cover more kritis.Raga elaboration was there for pantuvarali and Hemavathi as well. I also donot recollect much on those lines now as my focus was more on the significance of kritis.
Dr.Sundar has been conducting Lecdems in Ragasudha venue on one of the sundays every month.

SvEtadvIpam is tiruppArkaDal, not the one near kAnchipuram but the mythological milkocean on which tiruppArkaDal nAtan reclines on the serpent bed. If there is a SvEtadvIpakkSEtram as mentioned in the Hindu review, I would like to know whether it is in India, I mean on this earth.
