dear friends it would be of great help if some one could help with the meaning of the following tulsidas song --- GAAYIYE GANAPATI JAG VANDANA
SANKAR SUVANA BHAVANI NANDANA||

SIDDHI SADAN GAJAVADANA VINAYAK
KRIPA SINDHU SUNDARA SAB LAAYAK||

MODAKAPRIYA AMUDA MANGAL DATA
BIDYA BAARIDHI BUDDHI BIDATA||

MANGATA TULSIDAS KAR JORE
BASA HI RAMA SIYA MANASA MORE||

GAAYIYE GANAPATI JAG VANDANA
sing(gAyiye) the names of that ganapati who is worshiped(vandana) by the whole world(jag)

SANKAR SUVANA BHAVANI NANDANA||
He is the son of Sankara and the beloved child(nadana) of pArvati(bhavAnI)

SIDDHI SADAN GAJAVADANA VINAYAK
He is the storehouse(sadan) of all the sidhhis, He posses the face of an elephant(gajavadana), he is known as vinAyaka

KRIPA SINDHU SUNDARA SAB LAAYAK||
He is the ocean(sindhu) of mercy(kripA), the beautiful one who is worth(lAyaka) in every way

MODAKAPRIYA AMUDA MANGAL DATA
He relishes the taste of the mOdaka and is the bestower(dAtA) of all auspiciousness(mangal)

BIDYA BAARIDHI BUDDHI BIDATA||
He is the ocean(vAridhi) of knowledge(vidyA) and the creator(vidhAtA) of intelligence.

MANGATA TULSIDAS KAR JORE
Tulsidas asks(mAngata) with his palms folded(kar jore)

BASA HI RAMA SIYA MANASA MORE||
May Sri sItA rAma(rAma sIya) reside(basahi) in my(more) heart(mAnasa)

I vaguely remember translating this ages ago, but can't get hold of it.

By the way, it is mOdakpriy mud maNgaL dAtA...not amud - mud I think is mOd - happiness/bliss.
