The Bageshri is still haunting. And I will be failing in my duty if I do not mention about the support that he has received from the violinist and the mrudangist. The violinst's bow just traces the singer so reverently without messing the mood. Especially in the charanam, when the singer sings the upper octave, the bow gracefully glides and merges with the sruthi. Each time the madhyamam is sung, there is bliss.
The mrudangist brings out so much variety and lovely theermaanams and enhances the rendition.
The listener can easily see how the artists strive for purity and shuddham and that endear them to me.
"paapa vimOchana sheelaa, pankajaaksha padmanaabhaa"
aaahaa! The whole song grew on me! And the whole experience has been like swaying in a gentle breeze weightlessly like a leaf, losing the self in the bhava and the sowkyam.
And trust me I have not sung anything today other than bageshri and not listened to any other tune as I was not in a mood to upset the flow in me.
Greatful to Musique4ever!
