It was a very short presentation. Fighting ill health and other issues the nonagenarian vidhushi presented a very spirited concert. The songs were all presented well. She was assisted by 2 more of her disciples on support vocals and tALam. The short AlApanai preceeding all the pieces and the short tAnam that was played in madhyamAvati were all very good and nice. The accompanists were ok.

It was an inspiring concert considering her ill health and her age! I was fortunate to be there to enjoy this concert. My pranams to her determination to perform at this age. The great quality of this young lady was the striking - Meetu - as good as played by a real youth and the way kalapramanam was maintained, all these considering her age factor of 90+. Sri R. Sriram and Smt Punya Shrinivas also gave a very good performance before this concert ably supported by Sri R. Sankaranarayanan on Mrudhangam and Sri H. Prasanna on ghatam.
