Could someone provide the lyrics and translation for the Changdrakauns Thillana by Madurai R Muralidharan

I think the lyrics (as I hear them) are as follows (apologies in advance for any glaring errors!)

thunai varE thUmaNi varNane (might be vannanE) punayE
ennilE aRul tara varuvAi

Neelima, some of the words you've transcribed do not make sense, so can not be translated as is. I have another of Madurai Sri Muralidharan's tillAnAs in candrakauns (Nrityopasana CD 17), but the caraNasAhityam is very different. If you can share the tillAnA you have, I can help with the words and meaning.
