Can someone clarify the meaning of the second line of the caraNam?

vidhIndrAri haram = vidhi + indra + ari haram

vidhi = brahmA
indra
ari = enemy(ies)
haram = one who defeated

I understand the concept of indrAri haram, but how does brahmA feature in this? What enemy of brahmA did muruga defeat?

Shouldn't it be be 'surESasutA vallI manOharam' - surESasuta = daughter of indra (dEvasEnA)?
