Can someone please post the lyrics of the song 'Sri Ranganatham upasmahe' in Purnachandrika. I think it is a composition of Ambi Dikshitar.

i think it's "nIrajAri" and not "niranjAri"; This is sung by DKP in a commercial with a ChiTTaswaram too.

Yes - nIraja is a lotus which is supposed to bloom in the sun, and close at night (moon-light), therefore, the enemy (ari) of the lotus (nIraja) is the moon.

Contextually, Sri Ambi Dikshitar is describing the lord as having the moon (nIrajAri) and the sun (mArtANDa) as his beautiful (su) eyes (nEtram).

Shiva is also described as having sUrya and chandra (and fire)as his eyes-
vandE sUrya shashAnka vanhi nayanam-(from the slOkam-'vandEdEvam umApatim).
