I was happy that Sriranjani sang kritis that we do not hear every day.
Swaras were sung in Devamanohari, Subhapantuvarali and Begada
Neraval was in Nadopasana
Sriranjani attempted gruha bedam during Subhapantuvarali alapana with rishabam as base. Had to attempt a few times to get it properly. When vocalist tries gruha bedam, it is important that violonist just maintains the base note of gruha bedam instead of trying to follow her in the transformed raga. This was not done which perhaps added to Sriranjani's difficulty.
The swara patterns used very very good and were thought provoking.
Thani avarthanam was very interesting and information packed
There were some minor slips in sruthi here and there but nothing major.
A syma sastri kriti could have been included in place of a thyagaraja kriti to cover trinity
There was no separator kriti between sub-main and main items
Sound imbalance was there initially and was rectified after couple of memebrs from audience took it up with sound man.
Over all a good concert , I would rate 3.5 out of 5
