A blissful concert by Smt Kiranavali Vidyasankar. This wonderful concert was the concluding part of Kotikumkuma Archana for Goddess Saraswati.
She presented a few rare kritis as well as some very popular ones including many requests by the audience.Bhairavi being the main, Varali was the sub main.Krishna nee begane and the Saraswati bhajan were also quite exquisite.
She was ably supported by young and talented accompanying artists,Kum Rajna Swaminathan on mrudangam and her sister Kum Anjna on violin.Since Smt.Kiranavali talked about a few kritis,it was very informative as well.
A very good crowd for a long weekend concert.

Was Item 12- Tamil song- Vellai Thaamarai pooviliruppal of Subramanya Bharathi? Would probably have been appropriate for the worship of the goddess.

The 12th song was a Thiruppugazh in Mohanam.
The 9th 'Krishna Nee begane baaro' song's composer is Vyaasaraaya.
