Some questions.
C1: konrai tumbai aNinda marundu kOdai mIdil paDarnda marundu
manruLE ninrADum marundu mANikka vAcakar kaNDa marundu
This remedy is adorned (aNinda) with leucus leaves (tumbai) and flowers of casia fistula (konrai) [4], who dwells/dancers (paDarndu) on (mIdil) back of the goblin (kOdai) muyalakan, and has deigned to reside (ninru) and dance (ADum) in (uLLE) the golden hall/assembly (manru) of cidambaram. It is the very same remedy that SrI mANikkavAcakar realized (kaNDa).
--"This remedy.....who dwells/dances.." Does this mean... this Nataraja (who is the remedy himself) is adorned with tumbai and konrai? When or where does he appear thus?
--Is (the adornment of) tumbai, konrai referenced because they are medicinal too?
--What is the goblin kOdai and the dance on his back story ?

s_p,
The first two refer to the flowers that adorn Siva and the vine (lata) refers to his partner pArvati who dances (entwined) with him.

Re: aru(i) ? marandu oru tani marandu ambalathil kandEnE
Siva/naTarAja is always adorned by tumbai and konrai, AFAIK. He is described as the golden-hued one resplendent with konRai flowers (ponnAr mEniyanE, miLir konRai aNindavanE). I think the relevance is that just as the konRai flowers cascade down from the tree in golden showers, so too does the Lord's grace on his disciples - so, konRai represents his ever-flowing grace. tumbai flowers and leaves are both sacred to Siva - I am not sure of the significance of this, but it may mean that any offering, however insignificant (the wild tumbai IIRC is rather low on the totem pole of heirarchy of flowers) is accepted by Siva.
muyalakan is part of the daruka vanam episode and is supposed to represent ignorance - he is subjugated by Siva and he performs the tANDava (the dance of enlightenment among other things) on the back on the goblin - represents detruction of ignorance followed by enlightenment.
