It was a well organized concert by Shubha Ganesan at saraswathi trust’s GNB centenary celebrations. Shubha commenced the concert with a brisk kalyani adi thala varnam.
This  was followed by “sugunamule” in chakravaham , which was rendered with fluent kalpana swaras. Hindolam  was taken up for the sub main  alapana, this was effortless with  intricate briga-s traversing the two octaves.
Krithis unnadiye and paramakrupa sagari added to the liveliness of the concert
Kalyani was elaborated step by step in a meticulous and leisurely way, the maturity of her music was evident in the Raga alapana-s. The niraval and kalpanaswara for the krithi ethavunara were  striking and outstanding.
Violinist was supportive throughout and sivakumar was not that much dynamic or vibrant.
Over all a very good concert .
