Dear Rasikas,
MyCarnatic (http://www.mycarnatic.org)- a nonprofit aimed at helping promote and propagate Carnatic Music, is embarking on a new project- "Get Carnaticized!"
The underlying goal of this project is to educate users with little or no prior knowledge of Carnatic music. We intend to accomplish this by compiling an encyclopedia of sorts based on the multitudinous aspects of Carnatic music.
Here is a screenshot of how the new section will look.

The features we have in mind are as follows:
- Broad topics that categorize all the information. e.g. General, History, Structure, Learning, Performance, Composers, Improvisation.
- Prearranged subtopics which discuss specific subjects which fall under the parent topic.
- Each subtopic will contain written material accompanied by relevant video(s), audio(s) and image(s). Our objective is to include as much media as possible in order to simulate a formal (but fun!) learning experience.
There is certainly no limit on the amount of information there is to be attained in Carnatic music and we expect “Get Carnaticized!” to be a permanent work-in-progress.
We invite you to become one of the first authors for this project, and give you the freedom to select a subtopic of your choice. If this piques your interest, do let us know and we will send you a list of the available subtopics and further details regarding submissions.
You may me at [email protected]
Thanks!
Best,
Raghu
