INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH SRI TRICHY SANKARAN ON 06.02.2011

Dear Rasikas,

Very happy news to all of you.

Professor Trichy Sankaran have agreed to have an interactive session with all the Rasikas.

Date; 06.02.2011[ SUNDAY];

Time; 10.00 Hrs to 12.30 Hrs.

Venue; Srinivasa Sastry Hall, Near Luz Corner, Mylapore, Chennai – 600 004.

The important point is that we should have a very good quorum which is very essential.

With all the overseas Rasikas having returned back to their country, the Rasikas in Chennai should try to attend the interactive session in maximum number.

I would be happy if a large number of Rasikas from Bangalore are able to participate the interactive session [As they have done during our Global Rasikas MEET 2010 ON 19.12.2010].

I request Sri VKV to be the anchor for this interactive session also and enliven the event [We should benefit a lot with his close association with Sri Trichy Sankaran for many years and bring out many interesting informations about Sri Trichy Sankaran during the session].

The investigations I have made SUGGEST that Bandwith Considerations mmight prevent INTERACTIVE Sessions. Even one way transmission to MULTIPLE USERS requires complicated setups like the one tat exists in Cleveland Sundaram's House. VKV

Well, I suspect that the meatiest part of the whole morning was the interaction between TS and Mannargudi Easwaran, which was partly in Tamil and partly in konnakol.

If one of our young vidwans had the time and opportunity to summarise, that would be wonderful!

Hi All,

My travel all the way from Bangalore to Chennai, just to attend this event did not go waste. I liked Shri Subramaniam's question, I'm sure everyone would agree with me if I say that we all have this question in our mind. And of course, Easwaran sir's intervention was intresting.

It was again a treat to see the perfection of Sankaran sir while playing the basics. Be it THA THI TOM NAM or the branded Adipadai lesson of our school:

TA KITATAKA TI KITATAKA TOM TAKA TADI KITATAKA TAKATARIKITATAKA.......

I would say every aspiring student should see the position of his fingers, palm on the faces of the drum while playing. It is text book, I would say.
