Mangalam to the name(nAma) of the one reclining on a snake (bhujagashAyino)
That which is praised (kIrtitam) here (iha) even (api) by the very wise one (parama-jAnatA)
That which burns (dahati) the heap/circle(jAlam) of sins (pApmanAm) with speed(anjasA), like (yathA) fire (shikhI) burns the heap of logs (dAru sancayam) on earth (bhuvi)
