Live telecast from Sringeri

Sankara TV is broadcasting 'live' concerts being held at Sringeri as part of the sashtiabdapoorthy mahotsvam of the Acharya. It is aired from 7pm(or 6.30,not sure) to 8.30.
There was Sikkil Gurucharan, Ms.Kanyakumari, and T.M.Krishna in the past 3 days.

SGC sang an out of the world Hemavathi followed by Srikanthimathim.

TMK seemed to be tired and not his usual performance.But his rendition of sogasajooda in Kannadagowlai was very good specially the svara prasthAram;same about padavini - sAlagabhairavi.

Ms.KK's recital - listened only in parts.She did a brief alapana of all ragams in bAvayAmi raghurAmam in forward as well as reverse order which was mind blowing.

RG - the sub main in Poorvi kalyAni by gAyathri was good.The niraval @ pAdhimathi brought out some best sangathis which is a defenite testimonial of their manodharmam.The main - bhairavi sung by gAyathri was very good followed by pAhi jagajjanani of ST.

Somehow the neraval at the line 'SankhAdyaSTTOttara sahasra ............'(the full line was taken up) did not appeal to me.

SGC's Hemavathi ragam was very good.

I missed the ragam and the kriti.

Yesterday the live relay was not there.I was disappointed since the yesterday's programme would have been by TVS.I don't know about today's prog.of Abhishek Raghuram whether there will be a relay or not.
