Hi Nivedita, I hope this is not too late for you. Although I do wonder if your guru's brother has already given you the meaning!
In any case, here is my attempt. I deduce from this composition that Sri OVK's guru was distinct from his aiyyan (kaNNan). In order to understand the text you had marked out in blue, I had to understand the whole composition. Hope you do not mind.

I possess (uNDu) [2] two (iraNDu) legs/feet (kAl) to dance (ADi ADi) and sing (pADi) the Lord's (aiyyan) name (pEr). I have access to (uNDu uNDu) the company (sangam) of good men (sat) to converse (pESi) freely (aLavaLAvi) and forget (marandiDa) the mundane (Akkai) [3]. I possess (uNDu, uNDu) two (iraNDu) hands (kai) of my own (vilaikkenru vAngAda) [4] that do my bidding (vENpaDi), to truly (meiyenru) keep time (tALam pODa).
This/it (idu) is certainly true (mey) [2], it is not (illai) an idle boast (perumai), that the story (kadai) [5] of kRshNa (kaNNan) exists to bring about my (enakku) elevation (uyyavum), and a teacher/preceptor/mentor (gurunAthan uNDu) to sing (pADa) the praises (pugazh) of my Lord (aiyyan), and I have the great fortune of having (uNDu) ears (kadugaLum) to listen (kETka) to these in their entirety (attanaiyum).
