Cool - I have seen the saris with scenes from the Ramayana and even with Aishwarya Rai printed on them ... we can try ones with Thyagaraja, Diskhitar, etc or maybe GNB, MSS, Semmangudi? I am sure they will be a big hit with performing artistes.

i actually read a similair article on the hindu where shashikiran and another company called avarthana were releasing merchandise this season. i was able to find the designs online and heard they are available at the stalls at the music academy. maybe worth a visit.

checked out the avarthana shirts and the artery models at academy yesterday. was very creative. nice idea. kudos to them for coming up with such a concept. i am a proud owner of a ghatam tshirt from avarthana now.
