Vijay Siva hit one out of the ground altogether today and blessed are those that got to listen to him today. Everything sparkled but #2, #4 & S'baranam were the highlight of highlights. Mukhari & Sankarabharanam alapanas were just out of the world. To cap of the song in Mukhari, he sang fantastic swaras in the first/second kala. The second kala swaras anchored ending in pa were sooooooooooooo beautiful as were the swaras for sankarabharanam in 1/2, 1/4 avartanams. Neyveli's accompaniment was very good throughout today. Especially Mukhari accompaniment. Adambakkam Sankar had minimal non-intrusive part today, even in tani his part would be around 1/5th overall.

Isn't it true that Dikshitar didn't employ the raga name in kritis in very familiar ragas like Thodi, Sankarabharanam, Kalyani, etc.? Sadasivam however had the entire raga name in it in the madhyamakala sahityam.

An out of the World concert.
No word to describe the shankarabharanam alap, neraval, swaram. Raga was well woven in each and every sangathi of the krithi and the way Vijay sang it. It was a treat to all those who were there.

Mukhari was equally good and it was thoroughly an enjoyable concert. Neyveli Narayanan had excelled in his accompaniment in this concert. A calm and sedative approach and a good thani. Sanjeev could have been little shorter in his alap replies .

Some small corrections in the list
Ashtapadi was in Khamas
Ragamalika had Kapi and Hamir Kalyani
Thirupugazh was in huseni
Sankari samguru -- adi talam (tisra nadai)
