A huge auditorium fully packed, great stage setting , and a concert filled with devotion and True Professional attitude by Priya Sisters.
What do i mean by True Professional attitude -- that will be discussed at the end..
I was delighted when a varna in Darbar was sung. Hope to hear more of this beautiful raaga in concerts.
Sri Ganapathini was sung with great clarity and devotion. Sowrashtra being another favorite of mine

This was followed by a beautiful alaap in Mukhari by Haripriya followed by a composition of Nilakanta Sivan. This kriti was well appreciated by the audience..
Kalyana Vasanta was well elaborated by both the sisters followed by the evergreen kriti Naadaloludai. This was followed by a round of brisk swaras.I guess Tilaitalamentru is very popular as i found a lot among the audience humming the kriti when it was being sung.
What an alaap of Kalyani by Haripriya.. IT was simply amazing. IT was followed by another popular kriti of Dikshitir which the audience enjoyed.
Post tani compositions were well received by the audience. I guess most of them may have been requests as i saw quite a few chits -[4-5 requests ]being given on stage..
The concert which was scheduled to start at 4.45pm began at 5.05pm .. Why?? The previous program which was to end at 4.30pm ended at 4.55pm!!! . IT was an intrument ensemble..Hence Priya sisters concert started 20min late...
What needs to be appretiated is that Priya Sisters ended their concert exactly at their scheduled time 7.15pm ...
Why? They could have easily continued for 5-10min as the concert was delayed for no fault of theirs!
The next concert had to being at 7.30pm and i guess it would go on till 10pm.. Delay in their concert would definitely cause a further delay..Hence they cleverly managed it by cutting short the tani and may be by cutting short one post tani kriti or a short composition which they usually sing after the composition on Lord Ganesha...
It just shows how disciplined they are and their respect for other artists..
This concert will be telecast on Vijaya TV in the month of Jan..
