Argh. Can't believe I missed a harikAmbOji and kalyANi RTP.

How were the percussionists? I have heard N. Guruprasad twice this season and enjoyed the sound of his ghaTam.

Oh, how I overuse superlatives on this site ...but what to do?

For me, this concert was the RTP, and especially the T. The alapana was beautiful, but when it came to the T, TNK seemed to be on a roll of tanam creativity that felt like it would never end. Without noting times, I can say that the RTP lasted more than one hour ... a proper RTP! Fabulous!

Is it just me (my sense of pitch is not particularly accurate) or can Guruprasad actually play swarams with the ghatam gumaka? His play is most amazingly sensitive and melodic. KMS Mani is new to me: hopefully not for long. His play, too, was most sensitive and excellent.
