Podighai has been telecasting concerts on Tuesdays (without any interruptions)from 0830 to 1000 IST. In today's concert the trio treated the listeners to soulful music. Kapi RTP was the main piece. There was ragamalika thanam - Natakuranji (TNK), Kanada (Viji) and Behag ( Sriram). The concluding songs were Thirada Vilayattu (Ragamalika) and Vanga kadal (Suruti). Guruvayur Dorai accompanied on the Mrudangam. Unfortunately, I do not know the ghatam artiste.
It is always a great pleasure listening to CM telecasts from the Podighai channel.

Ghatam accompaniment was by Sri Suresh (who usually plays with KRM Sir a lot).

I was listening the excerpts from tHiruvaiyAru ArAdhanai in radio and casually switched on to T.V and coulkd listen half way thro the bhArathiar song and vangakkaDal.Will remember from next week onwards.
By the by,how many of you are listening to 'Chembai sangeethothsavam ' recordings being telecasted in
DD - malayALam - morning from 8 - 9 a.m for the past 3 weeks ? Today it was Dr.Narmadha and the main was kAmbOdhi - mA jAnaki.It was v.good. Listen from tomorrow at least guys.Yesterday one youngster by name Arjun bAlakrishnan sang a beautiful Todi - koluvamarEgadha.There was T.N.S.K,Mah.Ramachandran.....
