Different expressions for the same line

Hi

Just have a basic doubt. I would like to know if we could have different expressions for the same line.

Example: In the varnam: "Varuvano vagai soladi enadhauzir thozi". When we sing this many times can we express this in different ways like:

1. hey will be come asking your friend with authority or
2. with doubt you can ask if he would come or
3. hey please tell me if he would come
4. he is a big guy do you think he is really going to come

So can we do the expressions for the same line in all the manners that is mentioned above. Please clarify.

Thiruvai mozhi malarantha thirumal azhagan inghu
