Dr.Sreevalsan Menon hails from Trichur in Kerala and is a disciple of Padmasri Neyyattinkara Vasudevan. An “A” Grade artist of AIR and Doordarshan Dr.Menon has won several prestigious awards which include awards from Madras Music Academy for five years, those from Krishna Gana Sabha and that of Nada Oli . He has made concert tours to the USA, Canada, African and gulf countries. He has released several carnatic music CDs and has had a stint in providing raga background in movies too. Besides achievements in music, he is a Ph.D holder in Agriculture Extension and currently Associate Professor in Kerala Agriculture University.

In July, Nadasurabhi is planning a grand Madurai Mani Iyer Centenary Celebrations Concert. Kindly await the announcement.

It was announced that Nadasurabhi will feature a Madurai Mani Iyer Centenary Celebrations concert on 15th July and none other than Sri.TVS will perform. Good news indeed.

I really wanted to attend this concert, especially since it's been a very long time since I've listened to Charulatha Ma'am, but couldn't make it! Sounds like a great concert though!

Yes. I forgot to make the correction after the concert. Sri.MAK, it appears had an accident and fracture some time back and still he is having the crepe bandage around his foot. Also looks quite run down. Very kind of him to have come and played on that day.
