Beautiful concert by T.M. Krishna (Vocal) , M. Rajeev (Violin) and Manoj Siva (Mrudangam) today for Nadha Sudha at Shri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swami Ashram, Velachery, Chennai.

Would've been better if he took some other krti in aThANa, especially seeing as he was maining it.

Where was the neraval for the anupama guNAmbudhi krithi?

I remember Prof TN Krishnan played the same krithi as a main in Sydney many years back. UKS was on the mrudangam and wasn't too impressed as the Khanda Chapu tala didn't give much scope for the tani.

Mohan, I have heard a few thanis by UKS in Khanda Chapu and they have been absolutely breathtaking!!

Yes mahavishnu. Really nice to see that and kudos to artists like TMK for that. Along with (the more common trend nowadays of) senior/elderly violin and percussion vidwans accompanying young vocalists, it will be great to see more senior vocalists performing with talented youngsters on violin/percussion.

True. For example, I heard him play a tani in this talam for Papanasam Shri Ashok Ramani a few years back at TTD and it was simply out of the world.

Maye in Tarangini is sung by MSS with D2 or chatsruti dhaivatam. did TMK follow SSP(d1 suddha dhaivatam)??
