Thrichur brothers at Unnati Bangalore 7/08/2012

It is always a pleasure to hear a duo perform, specially when both are in unison like our experience yesterday with Sri SriKrishna Mohan and
Sri RamkumarMohan ( Trichur brothers).The concert was a reflection of their sincere dedication towards the art form. Powerful voices, clear diction and the capacity to handle a fast paced tempo without compromising on melody, is undoubtedly their strength. Both the brothers brought out the nuances of every raga, taking turns and ensuring that nothing was missed out, thereby giving the audience the complete satisfaction of having heard every piece to their fullest satisfaction.They started off with Churutti,Thodi being the main.Ramanai Bhajithal in Mand was rendered with great devotion and they ended with Krishna nee Begane in Yaman kalyani.Smt.Charulatha Ramanujam came in place of Mysore.Dr.Manjunath and proved to all what a wonderful accompanist she is and her soulful playing brought in so much divinity to all the pieces and enhanced the concert.Sri.Mohan on the mridangam and Sri.Sivaramakrishnan on the Ghatam accompanied with grace.
