Endr-endrum-MS – the Vasantha memorial trust initiative to propagate the music and memories of the Melody Sublime has a special concert to mark the 96th birthday of the Doyenne. Ms. Amrutha venkatesh will give recital based on the theme – MS , a journey through languages

The music of Smt. M.S.Subbulakshmi by itself was captivating and an additional bond was made when she sang to them in their own languages. She has sung in as many as many as 15 languages and if dialects were considered it would be much higher. Whatever language she sang she made great efforts to sing it in the right diction and made every song appealing. .

Ms. Amrutha Venkatesh will take us through this journey of languages which Smt. Subbulakshmi undertook at Endrendrum MS this month. This established Carnatic musician acquired her skills from Gurus Sri M.T. Selvanarayana, Smt Charumathi Ramachandran and Prince Rama Varma . She is both a vocalist and an adept vainika. Her music has been well appreciated in over 300 performances and more than dozen audio releases.
