K.N.Shashikiran & P.Ganesh on Nadaneerajanam

It was an all Dikshitar concert ! I started watching from the swarams for Vathapi Ganapathim at "Karambuja pasha". Interesting swara exchanges followed. Next, they sang Chandram Bhajamanasa in Asaveri followed by a lovely rendition of Ranganayakam in Nayaki. Shashikiran started off the alapana for Lalitha ragam singing real nice phrases in the lower octave and was taken over by Ganesh elaborating on the notes in the higher octave. To listen to Hiranmayeem in their voices was such a treat. The neraval and swarams at"sheetha kirana" were appealing...Padma Shankar and Sai Giridhar gave good support. When the concert was gaining momentum and when I was looking forward to listen to more, SVBC switched over to showing a Pooja!!!

For the past 15 days the cable operators have shunned this channel in Chennai.We really miss this channel.Don't know the prob.though.
