Vidya Subramanian, disciple of Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman, performed for Sri Kapali Fine Arts, in Sastry Hall, Mylapore, on the 30th Dec 2012.
Vidya was very well supported on the violin by Priya Hariharan and on the mrudangam by Neyveli Ramkumar.

Vidya’s musical pedigree and her excellent padanthram - helped in no small measure by her professional background (ACA & MBA from US and a 8 year stint there) - have greatly contributed to this slick, focussed and highly satisfying presentation. It is a concert fit for the Music Academy slot and I hope Vidya gets the opportunity to perform there very soon. Having returned to Chennai recently, she is slowly getting busy into the concert circuit.
