Dear ALL
First, would like to thank Arasi and Pasupathy sir. It was indeed an experience to work with over 100 Kids ( my real dream come true ) and my sincere thanks to the Cleveland Aradhana team and V.V.Sundaram sir for giving me this opportunity and Musiguru a new learning mobile app for Carnatic music, an initiative of Levitum for providing the technology to attempt this blending tradition and technology. Sincere thanks to all the teachers of North America ( especially Jayashree Varadarajan, Anu Suresh, Kala Vasudevan, Jay Shankar Balan, Usha Chari, School of world music and dance Michigan, Ramesh Srinivasan, BalaSkandan, Toronto Gowri Shankar, who whole heartedly supported and also helped train their students. My own team in India and here with Ganesh, my sister- Kiranavali, Bhargavi, V.V.S.Murari, Lalitha Ravi and all the parents who took it as their own project and helped me in organizing......Special thanks to Keyboard Sathyanarayanan as he had board exams and despite that played a major part and as I wanted it to be more of school talents display forced him into this though he couldn't come in person.
Pro Leo Coach, played an important part in understanding and working hard with me to help his musicians work with my ideas and put the harmony together in just very little time. I have been working with him and other musicians for last few years and have also been teaching at the Cleveland state University to his students in the last 6-7 yrs on a regular basis during my visits.
We have received overwhelming response thanks to how the kids responded and more than anything they enjoyed this effort and that made this easy on me.
We are doing one more similar effort in Michigan on May 11th, at the Sarovar Music festival of GLAC at 1 pm and once again request those who missed to participate in that effort and the forms etc are all available at musiguru with songs uploaded for free for participants.
Also hope all rasikas help us groom the next gen kids and make their musical journey an enjoyable one as music is not a subject but something you rejoice and learn which itself will motivate you to get the requisite discipline and commitment....
Also would like to clarify, Dr. Balamuralikrishna was not to conduct the Carnatic symphony, but to bless the children and I thought it would be appropriate for a legend like him to bless them and also wanted him to lead a couple of songs like Dandamu pettenura and Vara leelagana lola, which he popularized.

Thanks, Sashikiran, for sharing the details. We all know how difficult it would have been; but the results were very satisfying indeed.
My congratulations to Prof Leo Couch too. I remember with fondness and gratitude Prof Tom Tuttle who would have really enjoyed seeing this happen.

Thanks for your post. Once again, congratulations to you and to all those you name, who made such a memorable event by the children possible.

Folks,
The other thread which I mentioned is the Cleveland Festival 2013 thread. You will find more about the children's performance in posts #36 to #43.

tkb,
Did not know that Satya had a part in this project until I read Shashikiran's post above.
Happy to know that he was part of this program, helping the children. Wishing him well in his exams too.
