Meaning of Thillana

Post by Lekshmi »

Hi everyone!
please help me with the meaning of a thillana set in Bahudaari ragam.I don't really know tamil so this is what I could understand by hearing the Song.

Charanam:- Tarunam parthu vandiduvan
Dayei purindu nalgiduvan
Varuvathei yavarei yadirkolvan
Haridasan paniyum yedeinayakan

My dance teacher is a Russian so she also can't help me. I'm not sure if the lyrics is right.
Please correct the lyrics and translate.

Thanks a lot in advance

Lekshmi - here you go:
taruNam pArttu vandiDuvAn
dayai purindu nalgiDuvAn
varuvadai avanE edirkoLvAn
HaridAsan paNiyum tillai nAyakan
The lord (nAyakan) of cidambaram (tillai) who is worshipped (paNiyum) by the composer, haridAsan will:
1) come (vadiDuvAn) after checking (pArttu) for the right/appropriate time (taruNam)!
2) bestow his grace (nalgiDuvAn) by granting/showing/showering (purindu) his compassion (dayai)!
3) accept (edirkoLvAn) whatever comes (my way) (varuvadai) himself (avanE)!
