* I have attempted to make a write up of this event with whatever I had assimilated out of what Dr. Vasumathi had demonstrated in the wholesome &scholarly concert on the special arena of "Vivadi ragas".
* I need to be corrected if my understanding on the subject /event does not fit in with
the established theories on the subject in relation to Ragas &Kritis handled during the concert.
* Missing gaps may please be filled up by anyone who has attended the prog.

*Dr. Vasumathi has brought out in her coverage I think all the possible vivadi swaras with mela janya ,Suddha &Prati Madhyamas.
*She has covered both S/P madhyama melas &janya ragas.
*Different vaggeyakaras.
*Main -Vagadheeswari with neraval in Anupallavi line .
The accompanists followed the main artist in establishing the fact Vivadi is sans dosha &equally enjoyable concert could be performed with mastery pleasing to the ears.
Rahul was found excelling so well in vagadeeswari.
The artist could not take of RTP in Rasikapriya as planned for want of time.It could have been a nice &more fulfilling finale (last item in the concluding session of the festival)-"Rasikapriya being most complex&last &ultimate of Vivadi-To quote TNS on his explanation on MD kriti in Shringara Rasamanjari(MD version of Rasikapriya)-Kamakshi to eliminate the possible Dosha(as Vivadi ragas are believed to be afflicted with)as according to MD the Raga has the effect of nullifying ankaraka dosha and the Raga being last seventy second &Vivadi mela which has Vivadi in arohana &avarohana &pradimadhyamam on top of it.
*It would have been more educative if the place of occurance of Vivadi swaras( drawing the line as for instance in "Paramatmudu, Harikamboji resemblance prevalent ) ,presence of swaraksharas perhaps where especially Vivadi swaras are handled in kritis(some heard in MD kriti) were explained to the rasikas.
*She concluded her recital with "Sri Venkata Gireesam"-Surati(not a vivadi) of MD.
