E. Gayathri, veena maestro, has been appointed the first Vice-Chancellor of the Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University.
She will hold the office for three years, according to a government order issued last week. Till now, she held the posts of honorary director of the Tamil Nadu Government Music Colleges and principal of the Government Music College, Chennai.

Hope that in the three years of her term, she will contribute to the growth of CM through the Tamizh nAdu University. After all, she brings a life-long experience in music to the university, and she also comes with the experience of being an honorary principal.
