Re: Vid Neela Ramgopal Season Schedule
Neela Mami's lecdem on 'Musical Beauty of Swarajatis' - was extremely well-received - well-researched and scholarly, close to a packed house at Parthasarathy Sabha.
Tomorrow the 19th, mami's next stop for the season - at 9.15 AM at the Music Academy.

Re: Vid Neela Ramgopal Season Schedule
A great review from Charukesi.
It was a class act--Neela's expertise, elan and spirit making the whole concert a rich experience. Her Bhavapriya was simply superb. Though she had some throat problem a bit later, the concert kept the audience wrapped up in its uninhibited pouring of her life-long search for the best in music.
Veteran in every sense of the word, Neela led the 'almost' all women's ensemble that morning to pastures anew--and how it fills my heart with pride that my friend soars in her imagination more than many young singers and in the process brings the fruit of her experience for us to taste!
A pity I couldn't take in another concert of hers, and of others I so looked forward to. My season came to an abrupt end because of unavoidable circumstances. Missed meeting many friends among rasikAs too
Palladam Ravi! I heard him twice this year and what a find! Hope I get to hear him more and more...
