I heard from roughly 02:15 to 03:45 when i squeezed her concert between k dharini@NGS and Suryaprakash@Academy.
I have not heard her name at all prior to the concert .When I entered she just began the alapana of keeravani . Her voice was really weighty , and there was no shrillness which generally is a case for quite a handful of vidushis. My mind latched when she sang snatches of keeravani to one of my favourite vidushi Raji Gopalakrishnan. The style and the manoeveur was very Raji'sh where sangathis without losing emote was the norm. She continued with a rare brovu brovu of shyama sastri, i have never heard this krithi other than a casette of maharajapuram santhanam singing it . She sang well the krithi , the neraval was not detailed a little more power in the neraval to touch few higher sthayis would have been better . Swaras were measured more in bringing intense raga bhavam and at times felt a touch of hyper caution.
The slokham in a cocktail of 3 ragas was excellent with right thrust of raga bhavam. All the tailenders were new to me and everything had an emotive clarity.
Bit difficult to pass judgement on the violinist as my concentration waned during alapana return. THe mridangist vidushi Mandapakka nagalakshmi in a saree is quite a miracle to see , her taps were very right . At times with quite few male mrudangist over banging , it is nice to hear and see a woman tapping it just right(she still had the right azhuttam). Personally it would have been wonderful if vocalist had just squeezed a short pallavi in academy as most artist in the afternoon slot do.
Overall a very good concert for 2 hours.

I just googled to find that this vidushi has also learnt from vidvan Shri TM Thyagarajan. So both vidushis Raji gopalakrishnan and dr baby sriram have taken the TMT style imbibing in some way semmangudi bani. The ragamaliga slokham and keeravani alapana just had so much of overlap between raji and Baby sriram

A very original artiste who is also a composer.
Best bet if you enjoy listening to ragas like Amarasenapriya (hamsanadam with a dab of shree) or Charukuntalam (Charukesi minus panchamam) but didn't think that will happen at the academy

In the hard copy could see the whole team in the photograph. In the soft copy i am only seeing the vocalist vidushi in the photo. Some insights into how the hindu editorial works, every day we learn something . Unfortunately soft copy viewers are missing to see the red sari mrudangam artist - Mandapakka nagalakshmi. Nice review, i never knew that it was the only concert of hers.
