Job Description

On-Air Duties

As a radio DJs you will focus mainly on the classical/carnatic type musical genre or artistic style that reflects the affinities of their listening audience. Job involves selecting music to broadcast and prepare daily program schedules.Occasionally as a Radio DJs you will also provide trivia and news updates, traffic reports and weather conditions for the listeners in Chennnai area.The job will also involve sometimes interviewing personalities from the carnatic music world, encourage audience requests and manage promotional contests of partner brands.

Educational Background

An associate's or bachelor's degree program in communication or engineering (with knowledge of carnatic music,radio broadcasting software and equipment used in this field)

Beyond training and experience requirements, as a disc jockey you must have excellent communication skills and be able to maintain a pleasant and controlled voice with good pronunciation and word timing. As a DJ also needs to stay current on news and entertainment events.
