Percussive Notes to feature Dr Krishnamurthy’s interview

Percussive Notes is regarded as the premier international journal on percussion where Dr Rohan Krishnamurthy published his paper on his patented mridangam design when he was an undergrduate. The editor of the journal recently commissioned Dr Craig Woodson, a well known percussionist and entrepreneur, to interview Rohan for their journal. The interview is scheduled to appear in one of the forthcoming issues. What makes this worthy of mention is Percussive Notes normally interviews artists who are at least 6o years plus and those who are winners of Grammy or similar awards (a la Music Academy and the SK tamasha). The interview under the banner "Playing the Ancient Mridangam Today..." is indeed a tribute to the interviewee as well as the art of Mridangam.
