While Sri Sanjay Subrahmanyan from Chennai was rocking Bangalore at Fort High School grounds, a young lady from Bangalore was trying to do something similar in Chennai. Vid. Aishwarya Vidya Raghunath from Bangalore presented a nice concert at the Asthika Samajam in Venus Colony here. The mukhAri and kAmbOji alapanas proved that both Aishwarya as well as Vid. Akkarai Swarnalatha have a lot of talent. The mukhAri alapana was followed by one of my favorite kritis in that raga “kAru bAru“. The main kriti of the day “srI raghuvaraâ€

Ram, you are perhaps the only person who covers a variety of artists.....I have heard of Aishwarya, but I have not seen her perform. Who's student is she? It would be a worthwhile thread in the Vidwans section to discuss all up and coming artists, in general...this will provide a means for artists and rasikas to project their favorites (without propaganda, I hope)...I have read about Ravikiran, Amritha Murali, Giridhar Udupa, Gayathri Girish, Ashwin, Gayathri Venkataraghavan, Panthula Rama and several others on this forum....the forum does well in representing/discussing up and coming musicians, but can do ever better :)

thank you ram.....

was the chathusra and thisra nadais were also
"played well":) like the gumkis :)...

ishwaryA is a wonderful girl with respect and value for classical music. she sang without an unwanted hurry and
the kalapramanam of karubaru and smarasundaranguni were excellent...

i enjoyed her raga delineation too with a right reflex from swarnalatha..
