Audience Participation in Thematic Concert -Ganesh Kumaresh

This was a unique concert by the violin brothers Ganesh- Kumaresh @ South Indian Cultural Association (SICA), Hyderabad on the 4th Nov. The theme of the concert was “Student, Art, Artiste, Audience”. The violinists highlighted through musical pieces, the different stages of music learning and evolving by a student over years through stages like – listening, learning, performing, composing music. Starting from Varnams and different musical pieces and from there to manodhrmam aspects – from being an interested learner to a master performer and a composer – the different stages of musical journey were imaginatively presented by the brothers.
The interesting part of the program was the RTP. Ganesh& Kumaresh invited suggestions from the audience for deciding on the Raga for the RTP. As per the audience wish R, G, M, D, N were decided. Again the pallavi piece was also decided by the audience. The brothers played the RTP based on audience views and gave a superb demonstration of their vidwat.
