A new website http://www.nadarasika.in which was originally launched with Bangalore as the focus city is now available for use anywhere. The site now attempts to auto-detect the city from where the visitor is browsing and tries to show concerts in that city. Since city detection is not always very reliable, it also allows one to select the city of interest from a drop down (this list will show the list of cities where some concerts have got uploaded at some point of time). The site allows one to register and upload event details after registration and login. Detailed instructions are available in the site to help in this process and reading them will enable one to do the upload fairly easily. The database of organisers(sabhas), performers, venues, cities keeps growing as new events get added. For example, if a city 'x' is not present in the database, and someone adds an event in city 'x', it will be available in the drop down list of cities for the very next user of the site.
To ease adding events, most of the fields support "auto-suggestion" drop downs. i.e if one types a few characters of say a performer name, it will show the list of performers in the database where this substring(i.e the set of characters one typed) is present. One can then easily select the right person from this list. This also ensures that names are represented consistently in the site. Same is true for Venue names, organisers etc. The trick is to type the most unique substring to quickly select the desired name. If the name is not present in the database, you will not see it in the drop down and you can then type it completely. Please provide accurate details wherever possible. If it is a new performer, try to type the full name with initials to ensure easy identification. Similarly for venues, please type the full address so that it shows up in the site for visitors to easily locate the venue,
This is purely a non-commercial initiative and the only intention is to provide a simple platform for looking up events and to allow all musicians/sabhas/anyone to upload events and share them to music lovers everywhere.

I will try for sure. Can you ensure that the email is not shared with any one and you also not send any newsletter or promotion emails ever to the email. As such I have had bad experience in using email as slowly there is spam of event announcements and personal promotions .

I want you to explicitly state that "email is not shared with any one and you will also not send any newsletter or promotion emails ever to the email." . Also this wording has to be right there during the process of registration.
