In 2014 and 2015, in the month of May, we conducted a 14 concert Youth Festival and competition and winning artists in various categories were awarded the prestigious "Kalavanta" award.

In another new initiative, KFAC is taking Karnataka to Chennai, the capital of Carnatic Music, during the "Season" in December 2015. 75 leading artists from Karnataka will participate in the event "Kalabhyana". Kindly go through the details in the attached leaflet below. Please do attend as many of the concerts as possible and extend your solidarity and support to the artists.

Due to the floods in chennai, the event, I understand, has been postponed. Strangely this cancellation was announced in an article yesterday in the Hindu but still there are two large articles in today's Friday supplement about the event itself. Some internal coordination problem in Hindu, I guess.
