BU Ganeshprasad violin, J Vaidyanathan mridangam, Alathur Rajaganesh khanjira
rAvE himagiri (swarajathi) - thOdi - Adi - SS preceded by slokam, raga brief outline
dEva dEva jadadIshwara - pUrvikalyAni - Adi - ST (raga sketch, ns@padmanAbha vasamE hrdi mAdhava)
10 mins of bliss (Alapanai) followed by badalika dhIrA - rItigowlai - Adi - T (rs@pallavi). The song didn't match the bliss/grandeur of alapanai. bAlE bAlendu or dwaithamu sukhama would have suited that Alapanai better.
srI guruguhasya dAsOham - pUrvi - m cApu - MD. Was wondering after listening to the pallavi and till madhyamakAlam how this raga would lend to a madhyamakAlam. Wow, MD knew how to bring that out in this rAgam too, didn't he. Would have loved some slow speed swarams landing at the start of madhyamakAlam passage.
srI raghuvara apramEya - kAmbhOji - Adi - T (rns@sArasa hita kulAbja, brief entertaining tani. the Alapanai & nereval in the mEl sthAyi was pretty good)
saranu saranu saranu saranu - ? - Adi - ?
kumara gurupara (thiruppugazh )
+JV & his percussion counterpart. What a nAdam, metallic, soothing thing that he produces.
Overall a very good concert with pretty thin attendance.

If the sharaNU sharaNu sharaNu sharaNu song was in Anandabhairavi, it is by Yogi Narayana Yatindra.

More likely it is the janjUTi song by the Anai-Ayya brothers.
