Hello Chennai! Really happy to be back. Kicked off my season with an 'appetiser' concert-A short and sweet 1.5 hours by the youngster. Lovely Shanmukhapriya 'Marivere Dikkeverayya Rama' and 'Smarasada' Bilahari. Bilahari brought to mind a Music Academy concert about 4-5 years ago where he sang a 4-kalai RTP in Mohanam. He was not very well and it was sparsely attended. He still showed amazinng flair nevertheless. Yesterday, was full house and full- throat performance. Nice one.

Didn't make notes and don't want to get spellings wrong for accompanists. Specially impressed with the percussion support.

Ah, the first among rasikAs from afar to chime in on a concert, mArgazhi mAda magizhchi filling the heart! CM (KM)'s canopy covers all of Chennai and environs, and look at the number of concerts this year--even mini ones after 9PM! vAzhga isai, sezhikka Chennai!

Our stay in Chennai is going to be brief. Still, hoping we can meet
