Like the man who took the music to remote hamlets! Just a generation of directed effort at alienation created such hamlets in and around the middle class Chennai, that would cause a traffic jam , right in front of the Mecca making people wonder if Amma is about to drive by!

It is to the credit of the tradition that, that still has provided avenues for revival though!
