By the way I learnt yesterday from DD Podhigai that the most definitive compilation of all video footage ever acquired of Gandhiji and about him had been a movie called Gandhi made by volunteer cinematographers from Chennai. This has been archived in the Film Institute of America (not sure of the organisation).

I went to Amrita Murali's concert at Raga Sudha Hall on Oct 2 expecting that sureshvvwill be there to represent the Iswar Allah Tere Naam brigade. I figured that he would request the singer to sing Raghupathi Raghava Raja Ram and go into orgiastic ecstasy at the line Iswar Allah Tere Naam, tears streaming down his face and dancing at high speed like a whirling dervish.

But then, despite several newspapers announcing that it was Gandhi's birthday, our staunch and valiant defender of everything Islamic or Christian against the loathsome Hindus didn't show up.

I was deeply disappointed, to say the least.
