Re: Kala Rasika - Violin and Odissi
Hello Bhaskarns,
Your writeup has a freshness like the rising sun-Bhaskara.
Keep it up. You engaged me throughout.
It would have helped if you had mentioned the venue and date and begun with the intro saying the concert event was held in two parts - first the Carnatic and then Odissi.
Each reviewer brings a bit of himself and herself into every review. It is important for me that a reviewer shares his joy, his experience of the music and whatever transpired and was presented, in a wholesome manner. A review is not an occasion for pulling anybody down, and not least damaging the reputation of the artiste. Exceptions like Bernard Shaw and Subbudu prove the rule.
Good going. Words like "bang" on time, "jolted us up" may need some revision.
Best wishes.
