bAgEshri is an import from HM into CM. It is a very distinct raga that's both scalar and organic. This raga was used in bhaja gOvindam (by MS Amma) for the lines "mA kuru dhana jana"

Apart from the arohanam avarohanam, phrases like M D S N S D , (or a M D N S rendered with slurs from the top notes), and a signature P D M on the descent are key to this raga. S N D M G, is also possible. N S R S is also possible. S N R S N, (staying on the N2) is another phrase.

The descending phrases also take forms like P D G, M R, S or M-DP G, MRS. S M P G - S M G M are also possible on the ascent. A lot of slurs between the notes are also possible without this raga sounding light.

In Tamil Meera of 1945, it was udal uruga uLLam uruga ( poorvi kalyaNi, sahAnA and Nadanaamakriya). Viruttham style. No accompaniments nor beats.
